The MSC Aurea spa on deck 13 is spread over 1,160m2 and offers Balinese massages, saunas, Turkish baths, hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, chromotherapy, yoga and a variety of beauty treatments. The spa features a fitness centre, beauty salon, Thalassotherapy room, relaxation area and massage rooms. MSC Cruises’ MSC Magnifica is the eleventh ship in the cruise line’s fleet and the fourth Panamax cruise vessel in its Musica class.
The spa uses its own Aurea products alongside others such as the Italian brand Collistar and French-owned Carita, thus providing more choice than other spas. In our experience there was, thankfully, none of the heavy sales pitch that can come at the end of a treatment, and the therapist simply pointed out that products were available. Again, there are often discounts on treatments and products, which are flagged up in the daily programme. Loungers, available for everyone to use, are also set out on Deck 14, including the area that circles Le Grand Bleu pool and beyond.
We are seniors (young 80 year olds!) So enjoyed it not being a party cruise. Surely, the business plan of MSC has changed, but thankfully for cruisers, that formula will not change for the Magnifica. So if cruising comfortably without too many new “perks” is your priority, then this ship easily makes it one of my top MSC experiences so far, out of more than 10 ships visited in the MSC fleet. To 9 p.m., is located forward on Deck 13 and is a very restful and tranquil area. There are a total of 10 treatment rooms, including some used for couples and Thalassotherapy treatments. Unlike spas on many cruise ships, which are managed by large external spa chains, the Aurea is run by MSC.

As you enjoy your meal, over the course of approximately four hours, you will be floating leisurely past some of Paris’s most famous monuments. As your glass-roofed riverboat pulls away from the marina and slowly glides down the Seine River, your waiters will pour your wine or champagne. There are dozens of cruises taking tour cruises up and down the Seine River in Paris every day.

You’ll also get to see them without having to walk for miles and miles and will get to learn about the history and significance of the buildings from the guides aboard river cruise boats. On your dinner cruise along the Seine, you will be treated to the unparalleled beauty of Paris. Admire the city's treasures from the unique vantage point of the river as you savor an exceptional culinary experience. So we’d recommend booking this for the experience of having a nice evening out with a good meal aboard a ship with nice views of Paris along the way. The meals we had were both good but you shouldn’t expect a Michelin-starred meal. This is due to the constraints of being on a boat and serving multiple people at the same time.

We think that the two types of cruises are complimentary to one another so you could do a sightseeing cruise during one day of your trip and then do an evening dinner cruise another day of your trip. Note that none of the dinner cruises we are aware of include any kind of sightseeing commentary as you travel up and down the river, as this would interrupt the ambience of the cruise. You can always ask a member of staff to identify sights of interest if you see something you are not sure about. We’ll cover our favourite dinner cruise options, share our experiences taking dinner cruises, and also offer our advice on what to look for when deciding between cruise options.

You can also opt for a themed cruise, such as champagne tasting, and a family friendly tour, meaning there’s something for all sorts of different travelers. The boat ride lasts around one hour, but some cruises are much longer as they include a 30 minutes stop over by the Eiffel Tower and by Notre Dame, so you can get off for more photos if you want. The cheapest option is this Bateaux Parisiens cruise – perfect for travelers on a smaller budget.
Not breaking any bank accounts with its reasonably-priced options, we suggest going the full mile and opting for the Champagne Cruise. Its distinct style of cuisine sets it apart from the usual menus offered elsewhere. The dinner experience with the La Gourmande Seine Dinner Cruise aboard Le Diamant Bleu is top-notch, from the service to the setting. While the weather is much better during the summer months, there are usually more crowds. If you don’t want to have to fight the crowds and don’t mind cooler weather, traveling in late winter or early spring might just give you the blend of comfortable weather and fewer crowds. From backroom speakeasies to modern nightclubs, Paris has a little bit of everything for everybody when it comes to nighttime entertainment. Harry’s New York Bar was actually once located in New York City. The entire bar, just as it was, was moved over to Paris in the early 1900s.

You’ll also find a well-stocked champagne bar available to you. While you may be used to a dinner time of between 4 and 6 pm, it’s not uncommon for those in Paris to eat as late as 9 or 10. You’ll want to keep this in mind when making reservations, but you should always have a small snack with you just in case you get hungry and it’s still a few hours to dinner. Everywhere you’re going to want to go as a tourist in Paris will be centrally located or have provided travel that leaves this area. Most of the hotels, many museums, and a lot of restaurants are all centrally located.
This company has a large fleet of boats that provide a variety of different river cruise options along the River Seine. These include an hour daytime (or evening) cruise, a champagne cruise, an evening meal cruise, a happy hour cruise along the Seine, and a snack cruise. With plentiful options and so many reviews, it can be daunting to know which one to go with.
Depending on the time of year you visit Paris you might prefer to take an earlier or later cruise to experience different lighting. This decision will depend on the sort of experience you want to have. Additional drinks are also included as you upgrade between menus. So you will have to decide if this menu upgrade is worth the price difference for you.
They offer a couple of different dinner sailings, including a shorter early departure and a longer later departure. These dinner cruises are super affordable in comparison to some of the others — no matter which one you book. On that note, discover different seating plans to suit all budget types. Finally, there’s the more classic dinner cruise with the Paris CityVision – you have the option of adding a glass of champagne if you wish. Alternatively, there’s the Paris en Scène dinner cruise – keep in mind drinks are not included in the price.
